Local Area
The traditional Spanish village of Ador is situated on the Costa del Azahar which lies on the northern tip of the Costa Blanca. The area is almost completely covered with lush orange groves, with a stunning backdrop of the Safor mountains. The region enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, with refreshing sea breezes taking the edge off the hot Spanish summers.
Due to the golden sands that stretch all along this coastline, there are numerous beaches to choose from. Many have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award as a result of both clean water and facilities available.
The main town of the Safor region is Gandia, a thriving, historical, coastal town, popular with Spanish tourists. Here you will find a variety of great shopping areas, street cafes and restaurants as well as range of nightlife in the nearby Gandia Playa.
Slightly further away, but still only an easy 45 minute drive up the coast, lies the beautiful city of Valencia.
Host to the Americas Cup in 2007 and to the Formula 1 Grand Prix starting from 2008, Valencia is a modern city packed with culture and vibrant life.
Travelling south from Ador, you will find popular coastal towns such as Denia and Javea,
famous not only for their beaches but also for the local sea food.
